ABS Care have been employed by me since early 2023 until February 2025 to provide care for my stepmother who has been diagnosed with dementia, by visiting her at her home, latterly three times a day, to oversee her medication and to ensure that she ate properly and cared for herself. They also accompanied her on visits to the doctor and hospital when necessary. As her dementia has now worsened, my stepmother has moved to residential care.
The service they provided was excellent and they made every effort to ensure that their care was personal and sympathetic. The individual carers were personable, respectful and kind. The agency did far more than was stated in the contract and went out of their way to ensure my stepmother’s contentment, wellbeing and security, often going voluntarily to help her at times outside the hours they were booked for, often responding to different demands by being very flexible. They also helped with finding people to carry out repairs and used their contacts to ensure that all was carried out professionally.
As I live some distance away from my stepmother, it was most reassuring to have this kind of help and trust.
I am more than happy to recommend ABS Care most highly and am immensely grateful to them for their excellent communication with me and for the peace of mind they provided me with.
